A New Chapter for Legacy Studio Estate Law
We are excited to share an important update about Legacy Studio Estate Law as we begin an exciting new chapter for our firm. While there are a few changes behind the scenes, one thing remains the same—our commitment to serving you with the personal attention, compassion, and trusted legal guidance you have always received.
After many years of helping individuals and families plan for the future, our founder, Rebecca Godbey Cummings, has chosen to transition away from firm ownership and the practice of estate planning. Going forward, Rebecca will devote her practice exclusively to providing fiduciary services for trusts and estates.
As part of this thoughtful and carefully planned transition, our firm’s name has officially changed from Rebecca Godbey Cummings, LLC d/b/a Legacy Studio Estate Law to Legacy Studio Estate Law, LLC. Although Rebecca’s name is no longer part of the firm’s name, her legacy remains an important part of who we are and the way we care for our clients. Should Rebecca be involved with you (now or in the future) in her fiduciary capacity, that engagement is already or will be separate and clearly defined.
Laurie Busbee has assumed the role of owner and managing attorney of the firm. Laurie has worked alongside Rebecca for many years, helping guide hundreds of families through estate planning and probate matters. She is honored to continue the firm’s mission of promoting peace and providing peace of mind through affordable estate planning and probate services.
Laurie is joined by Celia “Deanie” Quillian, who also trained under Rebecca and has worked closely with her for many years. Together, Laurie and Deanie bring a deep understanding of the firm’s philosophy and long-standing commitment to client care. Dianne McNamara joined the firm last year after serving for more than ten years as a professional trustee in Arizona. Her extensive fiduciary experience strengthens our ability to assist clients with both estate planning and probate administration.
Rebecca will continue to be a valued resource for our attorneys as needed. If you return to update an estate plan that Rebecca prepared for you, we will have your file and will be happy to assist you.
What This Means for You
Most importantly, you do not need to do anything. Your relationship with our firm will continue without interruption.
- Your attorney will remain the same. If Rebecca was your attorney, when you contact us you will be introduced to another member of the team who will have access to your file.
- The attorneys, staff, and team members you know will remain with the firm.
- Our phone numbers, email addresses, and billing arrangements remain unchanged.
- Our focus on estate planning and probate services remains the same.
- Your confidential information and legal files remain secure and protected.
Our New Office
We are also delighted to share that, as part of this exciting new chapter, we have moved to a new office just around the corner. Beginning July 7, 2026, we will welcome clients at:

Our new office offers improved accessibility, including handicap-accessible entrances, and can be conveniently reached from either North Druid Hills Road or Buford Highway. We look forward to welcoming you here.
